General Questions
Horizon Edu Consultant is a medical admission advisory firm based in India. We specialise in helping NEET-qualified students and their families navigate the MBBS admission process — both in India and abroad. Our services cover everything from career counselling and university selection to visa assistance and 5-year campus support.
MBBS Abroad Questions
Yes — provided the degree is from an NMC-approved university. Foreign medical graduates must pass the FMGE (or the new NEXT screening exam) to obtain registration and practice in India. Horizon Edu works exclusively with NMC-approved universities, ensuring your degree is fully valid for Indian practice.
Eligibility & NEET
There is no strict NEET cutoff for admission to foreign universities, but you must have a qualifying NEET score as mandated by the NMC. The NMC qualifying marks are 50th percentile for General, 40th percentile for OBC/SC/ST categories. However, competitive NEET scores (400+) are recommended for stronger university options, particularly in Russia and Georgia.
Visa Questions
Processing times vary by country: Russia takes 4–6 weeks, Georgia takes 2–4 weeks (e-visa), Bangladesh takes 3–5 weeks, Kazakhstan takes 3–4 weeks, Kyrgyzstan currently takes 2–3 weeks (visa-on-arrival suspended). We recommend beginning the visa process at least 8–10 weeks before your intended travel date.
Fees & Costs
The total cost for 6-year MBBS in Russia (tuition + hostel) ranges from ₹22–40 lakhs depending on the university. Top universities like Sechenov and RUDN charge higher fees (₹35–40L), while state universities in smaller cities cost ₹22–28L. Living expenses (food, transport, personal) add approximately ₹1.5–2L per year.
